Hi All...well I'll be honest with you, I've never liked the title of my blog so I changed it. This title describes me perfectly.
I spent 11 years in the newspaper business selling advertising. I loved it. I enjoyed my customers and the people I worked with. Then there were changes in the newspaper industry....I'm sure you can all guess...the newspaper was no match for the internet. So, the newspaper I worked for went out of business. It was like mourning the death of a very good friend. After I lost my job...in this economy, it was very hard to find another one. I took the first thing that came along which was a call center job for Verizon Wireless. It was fine at first but when you get complaint calls one right after another...it really wears on your nerves. So I asked my husband if we could handle me working part time and he was compassionate enough to say "yes".
My friend Dianna is a bus driver (who lost her job at the newspaper also) and that's never anything I ever thought I would do...but I decided to go outside of my comfort zone and go for it. It has been a true blessing. I love the kids and I love the freedom. It's been very freeing and has simplified my life. So now I can actually say...I enjoy my life again. Simplicity is the answer for me and I have made so many new scrappy friends and actually have time to enjoy them.
