Latte Card

Hi Everyone...
This is just a little card I came up with while I was having to lay in the bed Monday after my injection.  This was more of a cheer me up card than anything.  I love the warm colors and how it turned out.  I hope you like it.  Sorry it's lopsided :- /

Possibly My Last Evening In Pain

Hey Everyone...
Well I'm sure those of you who know me pretty well know that I've had a lot of back problems since January.  Tomorrow I'm getting an injection in my back.  It's hard to believe that after being in pain everyday 24/7 nonstop for the last almost 9 months that one little shot is going to make it stop.  I have prayed that this will be the relief I've been longing for and I have faith that the Lord will help me.
I just wanted to blog about this so it will remind me to continue to be the person I am now.  I have always been soft hearted but I am more so now.  I have more compassion for the person who walks slow in front of my car at the store instead of being impatient and wanting them to hurry.  I have always been the type of person to let my health go and say...I'll start a diet on Monday or maybe go to the gym for a few months and fizzle out.  I now have been shown that I took the simple task of just getting out of my car and walking into the gym for granted....it can and has been taken away from me in a second.
It's hard to believe that this is my life.  I never imagined not leaving my house for days because I can't.  99% of the time I'm ok...but sometimes I get tired and cry.  It's hard having a stabbing pain in my back all the time.  When I clean my kitchen or run into Walmart for 15 minutes...it takes me days to recuperate.
I know this is going to post on my Facebook.  If you would...please say a prayer that this injection is my answer for relief.  I would just appreciate it so much.  My appointment is at 9:30 tomorrow morning and the injection will be at 10:30.  Maybe you could send some good vibes my way around that time.

Black & White project with a pinch of pink

Hi Everyone...
So this evening I decided to challenge my design team sisters with a black and white project and only a little hint of pink.  These are 3x3 notecards and the stamps are from Pink by Design that I won from Kassidy over at Inking It Up Crazy.  I just love the stamps.  I hope you like my cards. Have a great evening.

Queen of my Craftroom - Altered Project

Hi Everyone...
This weeks challenge for Queen of my Craftrooms design team is an altered project.  It could be a box, can, pail, etc.... I totally scraplifted this idea from my sweet friend Emma over at My Creative Time.  These are Christmas giftcard sleeves and they are Cricutless.  This was a fun, mindless project.  I had some Christmas chipboard stickers from last year, used some scraps and a little ribbon and it took no time at all...I think they turned out cute.  Have a great week.

Peachy Keen - Let's Face It Friday

Hello Everyone...
Peachy Keen Stamps is having a challenge over on their blog.  The challenge is to make a shaped card and also use Peachy Keen Face stamps.  I love, love, love Peachy Keen Stamps.  I will never forget calling Kathy and telling her that I had lost my carrot nose from one of my Face Parts set and my husband and I had rummaged through the trash can looking for it thinking I may have swept it into the trash with scrap papers.  She said...oh you didn't have to do that, I'll send you a carrot nose.  I offered to pay her...but she wouldn't let me.  That's awesome customer service.  Anyway, here is a card I came up with for the challenge.  Have a great rest of your weekend.

Cricut Cardz Challenge - Straight From The Heart

Hello Everybody...
Mary over at the Cricut Cardz blog is having a challenge.  It's to make a Thank You card using a heart.  But the challenge is to NOT use pink or red.  I found out it seems red is in just about everything.  Although on my card the little flowers on the house look red...they are dark orange...I promise :o)
Here is the card I came up with.

A Blessing...

Hey Everyone...
I'm sure those of you who know me knows that I've been having some really bad back problems.  Well... it can get quiet depressing.  I'm not able to go back to a job that I love and I stay around the house most of the time (alone) except the days I have to go to physical therapy and then I spend the next couple of days trying to recuperate.  So recently I came across this AMAZING lady that writes poetry, she is a digital scrapbooker and just an awesome person.   Her name is Thena Cullen Smith.  So...one day I just opened up Facebook and this poem is the first thing I saw.  I know that God put it there for me and I know that He has placed Miss Thena in my life for a reason.  This poem was such a blessing and an encouragement to me...I wanted it out all the time so I can read it every day.  I made a plaque out of it and I just love it.  Not my work...but Thenas.  Thank you again Miss Thena.  I'm grateful to have found such an kind hearted, woman of God.
